Everything you need to know about Revino
A detailed guide to every feature of the app — for customers and businesses alike.
Registration & setup
Registration
Download the Revino app from the App Store or Google Play. After opening, tap the "Register" button. Enter your name, email, phone number, password and birthday. Once accepted, your account is ready to use immediately.
Social login (Google / Apple)
In addition to traditional email registration, you can sign in with your Google or Apple account with a single tap. Accounts are automatically linked if you use the same email address.
Edit your profile
In your profile, you can change your name, phone number, and profile picture. Name and phone number changes have a 90-day cooldown to prevent abuse.
Change language
The app is available in Hungarian and English. You can switch between them with a single tap in the profile menu — all text updates instantly.
Notification settings
Configure which notifications you'd like to receive: transactions, challenges, happy hour, campaigns, birthday gifts, point expiration. You can also disable notifications per business.
Collecting & managing points
Show QR code to earn points
Tap the central QR button to display your unique QR code. Show it at the checkout when paying — the merchant scans it and you receive points based on your purchase value. The screen automatically brightens for easy scanning.
Earning points via phone number
If you don't have your phone or haven't installed the app yet, the merchant can credit points using your phone number. The points will automatically appear in your account once you register with the same phone number.
Understanding point multipliers
On top of base points, multipliers can increase your earnings: the tier multiplier (up to 2×) depends on your loyalty tier, the happy hour multiplier (up to 2×) on the current time window, the streak multiplier (up to 1.3×) on your consecutive visits, and the rating bonus (1.05×) on whether you've rated the business. All of these multiply together!
Transaction history
In the Wallet tab, you can view all your past transactions for each business: earnings, redemptions, bonuses, gifts. Each entry shows the exact date, amount, and applied multipliers.
Short code
Every account has a 4-character short code. If QR scanning doesn't work, the merchant can identify you using this code.
Loyalty tiers & benefits
The 4 loyalty tiers
Each business has 4 tiers: Starter (1× multiplier), Regular (1.25×), VIP (1.5×) and Elite (2×). The higher your tier, the more points you earn per purchase, and the more exclusive rewards you can access.
Tier progression
Your tier depends on your lifetime accumulated points at a given business. Threshold values are set by the business. Defaults are: 0 points (Starter), 1,000 (Regular), 5,000 (VIP), 10,000 (Elite).
Tier-locked rewards
Some rewards are only available at a certain tier or above. If you haven't reached the required tier yet, the reward appears locked, but you can see how many points you need to unlock it.
Redeeming rewards
Browse available rewards
In the Rewards tab, you can browse rewards from all your joined businesses. You'll see the reward name, description, point cost, and any tier requirements.
Redeem a reward
If you have enough points and meet the tier requirement, tap the "Redeem" button next to the reward. Your points are deducted and you receive your reward. The redemption appears as a transaction in your history.
Send gift points
Send points to your friends as a gift! The system generates an 8-character code that the recipient can redeem. The gift is valid for 7 days — if unclaimed, your points are automatically refunded.
Claim a gift
If you received a gift code (or deep link), tap it and the points are automatically credited to your account. If you're not yet a member of the business, you'll automatically join.
Discovering businesses
Discover in map and list view
In the Discover tab, you can browse all Revino businesses on a map or in a list. Filter by category (café, barber, gym, etc.) and see which ones are currently open.
View stories
Businesses can publish Instagram-style stories. Tap the circles at the top of the Discover tab to view the latest content, promotions, and behind-the-scenes looks.
Business detail page
Tap a business to see its full profile: cover image, opening hours, location on map, available rewards, ratings, and social media links. You can also join the business's loyalty program from here.
Join a business
Join any business by tapping the "Join" button. You'll automatically start earning points on every purchase and your rewards will appear.
Challenges & streaks
Weekly challenges
Some businesses run weekly challenges where you can earn extra bonus points. Challenges have different goals (e.g., 3 purchases in one week). Your progress updates in real time.
Streaks
If you regularly visit businesses week after week, you build a streak. At milestones (4, 8, 12, 26 and 52 weeks), you unlock increasingly larger multiplier bonuses: from +10% to +30%. If you skip a week, your streak resets.
Birthday surprise
On your birthday, you automatically receive bonus points or a discount from the businesses where you're a member. Make sure your birthday is correctly set in your profile.
Wallet & privacy
Apple Wallet / Google Wallet
On the QR code screen, you can add your loyalty card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. This way, you can access it directly from your lock screen, and your point balance updates automatically.
Store external loyalty cards
In your Wallet, you can store not only Revino cards but also loyalty cards from other businesses. Enter the barcode number or scan it, and the app generates the barcode for you.
Data export (GDPR)
You can request an export of all your personal data at any time under your GDPR rights. After processing, you'll receive your data via email.
Delete account
You can request permanent deletion of your account. There's a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel. After deletion, all your personal data is anonymized in compliance with GDPR.
Rate a business
Give 1-5 star ratings to your joined businesses. After rating, you receive a 5% bonus point multiplier at that business for all future transactions.
Creating a merchant account
Register as a merchant
Create a user account, then switch to "Merchant" mode in the profile menu. First, you'll need to provide verified business details (tax number, company documents) for the verification process.
Business verification (KYC)
During the verification process, we verify your business based on your tax number and company documents. Once approved, you can appear in the app and start your loyalty program.
Choose a subscription
Choose from 5 subscription plans: Free, Starter (HUF 7,990/mo), Growth (HUF 15,990/mo), Pro (HUF 31,990/mo) and Premium (HUF 55,990/mo). Each comes with different customer, location, and feature limits.
Create your business (onboarding)
After verification and subscription, a 7-step wizard guides you through: business name and category, branding (logo and cover image), point ratio setup, creating your first reward, setting opening hours. Your business appears in the app immediately after completion.
Merchant dashboard
Dashboard overview
On the main merchant screen, you see real-time KPIs: revenue, visitor count, new customers, active streaks. Use the time range filter (daily, weekly, monthly) to change the view. Subscription limits are also shown here.
Manage multiple businesses
If your subscription allows it, you can manage multiple businesses from one account. The business switcher appears at the top of the dashboard — tap to quickly switch between your businesses.
Point crediting & scanning
QR code scanning
Tap the center Scanner button to open the camera. Scan the customer's QR code, enter the purchase amount in HUF, and the system automatically calculates the earned points with all multipliers (tier, happy hour, streak, rating).
Credit points via phone number
If the customer doesn't have the app or hasn't registered yet, you can credit points using their phone number. For registered users, all multipliers apply. For unregistered users, points remain "pending" and are automatically credited upon registration.
Use short code
If QR scanning doesn't work, you can manually enter the customer's 4-character short code.
Set point ratio
The point ratio determines how many HUF equals 1 point. For example, with a ratio of 100, HUF 1,000 = 10 points (before multipliers). You can change this in your business settings.
Creating & managing rewards
Create a reward
Create rewards for your customers: enter Hungarian and English titles, descriptions, point cost, and tier requirements. Optionally set an expiration date. Rewards appear in the app immediately after activation.
Edit & activate rewards
You can edit or toggle existing rewards at any time. Inactive rewards don't appear to customers, but previously redeemed rewards are not affected by changes.
Tier-gated rewards
Set minimum tier requirements for your rewards (Starter, Regular, VIP, Elite). This motivates customers to reach higher tiers and provides a more exclusive experience for your most loyal customers.
Campaigns & notifications
Send a push campaign
Send targeted push notifications to your customers. Enter a title, message, and filter recipients by segment. Campaigns can be sent once every 24 hours to prevent spam.
Automated campaigns
Set up automatic triggers: welcome message for new customers, birthday discount, inactivity reminder, tier-up congratulations, anniversary message. All of this works without manual intervention. (Available from Pro plan)
Happy Hour promotions
Set time windows when your customers earn double or higher multiplier points. The system automatically notifies nearby customers before happy hour starts. (Available from Growth plan)
Create stories
Publish Instagram-style 24-hour stories. Upload an image, add text, choose a style (light, dark, gold). Stories appear on the Discover tab for all your customers. You can also schedule them in advance. (Available from Growth plan)
Generate promotional flyer
Create a printable flyer with your business QR code. Customers can scan it and land directly on your page in the app. Save to your gallery or share directly.
Detailed analytics & reports
Analytics overview
The merchant Analytics tab shows detailed statistics about your business. Data updates in real time and can be filtered by time period.
Customer insights
Detailed customer statistics: active customers, new joins, distribution by tier, visit frequency, list of most valuable customers.
Employee performance
Track your employees' activity: number of transactions, average value, daily activity. Each employee has their own statistics.
Reward analytics
See which rewards are most popular, which are redeemed most often, and how redemption rates change over time.
Points economy
Overview of issued and redeemed points balance, point-to-HUF ratios, and active point capital.
Peak hours analysis
Heatmap view of the busiest days and time periods. Helps optimize opening hours and happy hour timing.
Churn detection
Identify inactive customers who haven't visited in a long time. The system flags at-risk customers so you can win them back with targeted campaigns. (Available from Pro plan)
Predictive analytics & benchmarks
AI-powered forecasts of your revenue, and comparison with similar businesses. (Available in Premium plan)
Export reports
Download detailed statistics in XLSX (Excel) or PDF format. The Pro plan also includes automatic weekly summaries.
Employees & permissions
Invite an employee
Generate an invite code (in EMP-XXXX format) for your employee. You can also share the code as a QR code. The employee enters the code in the app under "Join as Employee".
Set permissions
You can set individual permissions for each employee: scanning, redemption, view all customers, edit rewards, view analytics, manage stories. Only grant the functions they need.
Remove an employee
If an employee no longer works for you, you can remove them immediately. Their access is revoked after the operation.
Challenges & streaks
Weekly challenges (automatic)
From the Pro plan, the system automatically generates category-specific weekly challenges every Monday. Your customers earn extra bonus points for completing them. Challenges expire at the end of the week.
Streak system
Your customers build weekly streaks. Milestones (4, 8, 12, 26, 52 weeks) unlock increasingly larger multipliers. Streaks encourage regular return visits — on Saturday, the system warns the customer if their streak is about to expire.
Customize tier thresholds
You can modify the default tier thresholds to suit your business. Set how many points are needed for Regular, VIP, and Elite tiers.
Multi-location management
Add a location
If your business operates at multiple locations, you can manage each one separately. Enter the address, opening hours, contact info, and activate the location when ready to receive customers.
Edit a location
Modify location details: address (with map search), opening hours by day, phone number, email. You can also temporarily deactivate locations.
Assign employees to locations
Employees can be assigned to specific locations — so they only have access to that particular location's data.
Profile & settings
Edit business profile
Modify your business name, category, description, logo and cover image. Name changes require moderation approval to ensure quality.
Set opening hours
Set your opening hours broken down by day. Your customers can see when you're open both in the app and on the Wallet pass.
Point expiration settings
Set how many months of inactivity before unused points expire. The system automatically sends warnings 30, 7, and 1 day before expiration.
Subscription management
Manage your subscription on the website: change plans, update payment details, view invoices. Payments are processed through Stripe, and invoices are automatically generated according to Hungarian regulations.
White-label branding
In the Premium plan, your own brand appears in the app — logo, colors, custom appearance for your customers.
